There are 5 Volumes of the Ryan Report. Taken with the Ferns and Murphy Reports this is still only the tip of the iceberg.

Despite the reports, a full comprehensive and in depth investigation into the decades of child slavery, rape, torture and profiteering off the backs of children by the Roman Catholic Church in collusion with the State may never be achieved.
There has been no investigation into the role played by lay Roman Catholic organisations and individual Catholics in the Gardai, (police force) Civil Service, Knights of Columbanus or the Legion of Mary.
Thanks to a legal action in 2004 the Christian Brothers secured a ruling that guaranteed all of its members, dead or alive, would remain anonymous in the report.
In February 2008 they opened the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre. The then Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Bertie Ahern TD honoured them by cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony. The centre does not contain any mention of child rape, institutions or damming reports. The black heavy leather straps that Christian brothers used to beat children senseless are not yet in evidence.-
Bertie Ahern was also Taoiseach when the Indemnity deal was signed granting Catholic religious orders, including the Christian brothere, financial protection before their reign of child rape and torture was investigated. The Indemnity deal effectively handed the bill to the taxpayers.
The Christian Brothers were founded by Edmund Rice.
As Edmund Rice International they have offices in Geneva and are planning to apply to the UN for accreditation as a child advocacy group.

ERI was founded jointly by two Roman Catholic religious congregations: the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Brothers. It was registered as a legal entity in 2007.
